ABOUT

Just as Impressionism had broken the dictate of hundreds of years of European Art, so did the period that immediately followed progresssing through Myriad forms of inventions and individuality.

Taylor Earnshaw trained initially in Yorkshire before progressing to Liverpool College of Art in the early 1950's to study Fine Art under the tutelage of Martin Bell, Arthur Ballard and the eminent Hungarian painter and mosaicist George Mayer Marton.

Travelling extensively in Europe, and in particular Tuscany where his interest in sculpture developed in the quarries and marble yards of Carrara.

A life long dedication to the mastery of J.M.W. Turner, and the inescapable influence of the early 20th century combined to provide motivation and inspiration for the art student of the vibrant 50's... and the decades that followed.
